Answer: Very small, but very important. Question: If everyone who journals sends a picture of themselves for the AOL First Year Celebration poster, how big will their picture be?
Mrs Linklater jumped on the AOL Journal First Year Celebration bandwagon and hopes she isn't going to get caught under the wheels.
It all started innocently enough. She thought it would be nice to make a poster [suitable for printing and framing] with every journaler's headshot on it.
She thought it would make a nice momento of the occasion. She didn't realize she would be actually doing it.
The photos can be arranged to form the AOL triangle logo. Or Scalzi's likeness. Mrs. Linklater is always open to suggestions.
But it will take a lot of photos to make the poster look interesting and not like a very strange high school yearbook.
Mrs. Linklater doesn't know the exact number of people who journal on AOL, but she did read it was something like 600. It may be 601. It may be 6001. The exact number is probably double top secret.
AOL could always tell Mrs. Linklater, but then they'd have to kill her.
Anyway, a link was set up for sending pictures to Mrs. Linklater and so far, ten people have sent photos.
Ten may seem like a lot of photos to you, but Mrs. Linklater thinks we can do much better. And luckily, there's still plenty of time.
So, in the interest of blogging history: All AOL Journalers -- please SEND your HEADSHOT as a JPG ATTACHMENT directly to Mrs. Linklater at her AOL address: jevanslink
[If, for some reason, sending a jpg attachment is not possible, email Mrs. Linklater and we'll figure out something. Homing pigeon, whatever.]
If there's anything Mrs. Linklater wants, it's for everyone to feel like an important cog in the Land of Blog, here at AOL.
Come on gang, we can do this!!!!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. That's so nice of you to do that! I think arranging the photo to form the AOL logo would look sharp.
I will do my best to scream this to the masses for you. If I prefer not to send a picture of me, would you take one of my kitten?

Ok if I send photos do they have to be in a triangle form? or will she place them into that???
Hmmmm....I don't do this but I keep getting asked to. Anyone out there want to create a graphic of me? Short and straight brown bob streaked with blond (well, it will be by tomorrow, anyway) and extremely sophisticated and wordly-wise face. Terrific earrings, too.
