Can You Guess Where This Floor Is?



I think what struck me most about this floor was that so many people walked on it and didn't once look down to notice the beautiful design of these tiny tiles that seem to be antique.  It occurred to me that they might have come from a villa in Italy and were re-created at great expense.  Like pearls before swine.

    Is it in a hotel in Las Vegas?  I've only been to Las Vegas once, last November on business, and the people in the casinos were so interested in the gaming that they seemed oblivious to everything else around them.  I'm not a gambler (at least, not that kind of gambling), so I'd be checking out the details on things like the floor, but I know that wasn't true for most.

    I stayed at the Mandalay Bay but I walked through the Bellagio and as I said, because I'm not a gambler I paid a lot of attention to other details.  It's a gorgeous floor, isn't it?

    That hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and when you measure it against the tackiness of some of the other hotels, it stands out even more.  But the best thing about the place is that they treat all their guests with the same friendly service, which is what impressed me the most.  Well, that and the fact that I celebrated my 50th birthday in a bar there.  Just my sister and me ... and a table full of crossdressers.  And I thought my 50th was gonna be a downer.  Tina http://journals.aol.com/onemoretina/Ridealongwithme
