I started drinking Lipton Pureleaf iced tea recently because, unlike other bottled teas, i.e., Snapple, the first ingredient listed on the label is BREWED TEA, not high fructose corn syrup. Is that too much to ask?
Snapple is a lot more tolerable if you add a couple shots of Southern Comfort. I'm addicted to tea, hot or cold, Lipton or anything else. (This wasn't an interesting comment, but at least you'll know I'm thinking about you).
They count on us NOT reading labels as they know we'd all be scared to death if we actually KNEW what was in their products! And in your case...having just had surgery...you NEED all the antioxidents you can get....NOT High Fructose Corn Syrup! Although, it may lube the joint in your new hip. Hope you are getting better each day! I think I am going to be the first recipient of an ankle replacement...soon! LOL! Lisa
You could always save the Snapple jars and fill them with your own tea. Of course, I wouldn't make that nifty little "SSchloooop" when you open it. You have to add muskrat urine for that.
