Thank you for your kind words about the poster. THOSE OF YOU WHO CAN ACTUALLY SEE IT. Sorry about that.
Unless I send it to you it can't be seen -- except by very few. I tried to go to the website where it was uploaded [thank you laffinatmysn], but I can't see it even after it downloads.
Frustration. I wanted to put the poster here in an entry, but AOL makes stuff like that almost impossible. Especially for MAC users. And my PC doesn't have anything for design stuff.
Anyway, I noticed something.
About 80 folks sent their pictures for the poster. 13 were men.
THIRTEEN. Or 16.25%..
Women make up almost 84%.
Is that the ratio of men to women among ALL journalers?
Almost six to one females to males. What's that all about?
Which got me to -- what about the ratio of men to women among AOL journal awards winners?
And the Top Five?
I'll look into it.
After I get the lint out of my navel.

I couldn't get the poster to upload either, but I thought it was because my cable modem was out. When you have time could you please send it my way? I would love to see it! ~Ann
interesting points!!! *misty*

I noticed that, too. does that mean we are more vain? oh yikes.
GREAT, GREAT job on this thing! I was so happy someone volunteered to do it!
Oh, and I guess I am one of the lucky ones, huh?
AOL was interested in the poster-- surely THEY will make it available?
d'oh.
thanks again for a real wall of smiles!

Hi Mrs.L! Where can I try to see the poster?
You are so right about AOL for Mac - it stinks.
Interesting figures. Hmmmmmm.
XOXO....Kelli
Love the poster Mrs. L.
Thank you, for all the work you have done. Really think you have to a fabulous job. I'm using my poster as a screensaver.

Three cheers for the men...... good luck with the navel.
Hello Mrs. L
Oh I wish I could have seen the poster... I just know it was amazing. Interesting numbers. Makes one go hmmm. LOL. Take care honey.
Always, Carly :)
Mrs. L,
Thanks so much for mentioning the navel lint!
I would have totally forgotten to check mine!
LMAO!!

I doubt I could see the poster due to dial-up and other weirdness with my computer... wish I could... as for why so few men: I've noted this on Support Group Message boards too. Men are into different things on the Internet as a rule. I think the men in AOL-J for the most part have some kind of interest in writing. Let's try and guess what a lot of men spend time doing on the Internet... Albert
I'd love to see the poster, Mrs. L! Can you wing a copy over my way? Thanks! -B
If you're done picking lint, I'd like to see the poster, please!

Mrs. Linklater is at the beach. She is too lazy to do anything else, but beach it.
Back in a bit.
I noticed that, too. (I managed to download the poster both at work and via my non-Mac on dial-up at home.) My theory is that women may tend to be more communal. Or confessional. Or something. Heck, I don't know. What does it mean that some of the pictures were of non-humans? - Karen the werewolf
I think your stats are about right. I definitely think there are more women journaling (in AOL at least) than men. And by an astounding margin.
May I see the poster? Please???
Belly button lint. Heheheheheeh. Oh my.
Uh oh, you're thinking again. Didn't we discuss the dangers of that once already? ¤Holly
I actually saw the image in Kathy's journal and would love to see the actual poster, if you ever have time to send it to me. I might even be able to get it into .jpg format for you - but as Kathy pointed out, it might need some cutting and pasting. Dunno. Still, I know how frustating it is to not be able to display your hard work! No one should have to suffer that. LOL Good work! Great project! :D
