This Is A Joke, RIGHT?

Ideaology is actually spelled IDEOLOGY.  And the awards should be about excellence, nothing else.  Pimping? I don't think so.

Remember when Technorati had the top 100 AOL journals list?  Based on how many people linked to them?  Almost everybody on that list has gone to Blogger or stopped writing. They were the best of the best at AOL.

I noticed that you can't find that list anymore.  I always wondered if AOL put the pressure on Technorati to have it taken down.

Meanwhile, don't forget that voting for the CHROMOS will take place soon -- that's my award for the best comments in this journal.  This year there is more than one category.  Which means that every nominee will probably win something.

I think I'll make the selections like last year.  Put all the names in a hat and choose the winners by closing my eyes and picking one during an audio entry.  It'll seem like it's almost like a real awards show, won't it?

But FIRST, I'll post the nominees with the comments that got them the nomination.

I enjoy reading people's journal entries, but it's usually the comments that make me laugh out loud.  You're right, comments deserve an award all their own.  I have a few folks in mind for that honor.  I'm wondering if they're the same people you're thinking of.   Tina

I have to agree with you on the comments -- some of them are far more entertaining than the writing and often the comments are what keep me coming back!

So why don't you guys give your own CHROMOS?  For your journals -- or the journals you read?

Re " It'll seem like it's almost like a real awards show, won't it?"

Does this mean a pre-show with Joan Rivers? Will there be dresses flashing lots of sequins and cleavage? How about really insipid acceptance speeches? Most importantly, will there be gift bags donated by corporate sponsors?

Just wondering.

"Remember" doesn't have an "n" in it, right? I know, I know, Mac doesn't have spellcheck for journals, lol. I barely got past "ideaology." I wonder how that is pronounced?

If the CHROMOS are for the best comments, what were the VULVIS all about?  Has it been THAT long?  Hell, we can't even remember the names for our own awards.

Either way, it was good fun last year.

Oh, and "ideaology".  Yikes! Feels like fingernails on a chalkboard.

Oh, yeah, the VULVI's.  Uh, well.  Hmmmm.  Now Remo's comment makes more sense.    Mrs. L

the editorial 'idealogy' at AOL seems to censor, cut and ask 'queastions' later

You're right... sometimes the best part of an entry are the comments.  And if memory serves me correctly, you have served up quite a few HILARIOUS ones in your time, Mrs. L!  Lisa

Would it constitute bribery or chances-increasing "performance art" if I were to register "AuntyGrandma" with the Patent and Trademark Office (it's not registered, I checked), and incorporate AuntyGrandma Defensodynoplex Corporation for you, Mrs. L?  It would of course be a Delaware incorporation.  Those other states are so totally un-posh.
