Sex and The Supreme Court

Am I the only person who thinks Anna Nicole Smith's teenage son has to be seriously messed up? Forget the Playmate photos and the fact that she was a stripper. Remember when she tried out a new bed on her reality show by hanging onto the headboard and riding the mattress like a cowgirl?  Mo-o-o-o-o-o-o-om!! CUT IT OUT!!

Does watching the Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans remind you of somebody with a filthy house who throws all the junk into a back room and thinks that lighting a bunch of dusty candles will hide the burn holes in the furniture and the dried vomit on the floor?

Who outside New York gives a rip that John Gotti Jr is on trial for doing something to Guardian Angel Founder Curtiss Sliwa or is it vice versa?  Could somebody tell the producers of Geraldo Rivera's new show that west of the Hudson River NOBODY CARES?

Have you noticed how very quiet Bryant Gumbel has been since his incredibly ill-advised comment that the Olympics looked like a GOP convention?

Do you think Drew Lachey's win on Dancing With The Stars will get his brother Nick and his ex-sister in law Jessica Simpson back together?  Does anyone give a sh*t?

Do you ever wonder just who thought that letting a Muslim controlled country operate six major US ports would go unnoticed?

Speaking of Muslims, do you realize there are 150 million in India who live in peace and harmony with everyone else without blowing themselves and other people to smithereens on a daily basis?

Have you wondered when Nike will be running Bode Miller commercials again? How long can you hold your breath?

What are the chances that Shani Davis can cash in on lucrative endorsements in this country? Slim or none? Do you wonder why the Dutch love him so much? HERE'S A CLUE: Did you know the Dutch dislike Chad Hedrick as much as Shani does?

How come the same people who want to overturn Roe v. Wade have no problem with enforcing the death penalty?

Do you think rape victims should have to view footage of their rapes? What if you were sixteen, passed out drunk, and a bunch of high school boys raped you and videotaped the assault? Should you have to view the videotape if you didn't want to? A judge in Chicago is about to throw out a case against a rapist because the girl who was raped doesn't want to see what amounts to a porn video of herself being violated. Should she have to relive the experience again, most of which she has repressed and doesn't remember, in order for the rapist to be prosecuted?  [P.S. After 24 hours, the judge backed down and said she didn't have to. I'm SURE the uproar by rape advocates and her attorneys' arguments had NOTHING to do with his decision.]

Forget China. Are you afraid of what India can do to our economy when they have millions of people who are willing to do the same work we do, six days a week, twelve hours a day at 1/10 of our salary?

Does anyone else think that former Cubs' Star Slugger Sammy Sosa and former White Sox Star Slugger Frank Thomas should be the poster boys for all the selfish, thankless, overpaid, undeserving, steroid enhanced professional jocks who would be lucky to make minimum wage if they actually had to work for a living?

Can you tell the difference between Jann Carl and Mary Hart?  Or Lisa Ling and Lucy Liu?

Did the latest bachelor, Dr. Travis Tall and Handsome, take a look at the mother of the woman he chose? Versus the mother of the woman he didn't choose? Should he be afraid?

Well, that's a nice way to start the day.

You really put some thought into this!  As far as the Bachelor is concered, Moana's mother was really her STEP mother.    I am glad he chose Sarah.  AND I can't believe I actually watched it!  Anne

The rape victim thing is sick, there is no way she should have to see that tape. The judge is a f***ing moron.

Tick, Tick, Tick -- Just like that, you just proved that you do more thinking in a day than I do in a month.  Fascinating.

BTW -- I CAN tell the difference between Jann Carl and Mary Hart because Jann was a year ahead of me in high school.  The same one even.  I have no idea what she is like now, but then she was smart and kind and gracious, honest, real quality.  She was nice to absolutely everyone.

The very idea that a judge should even consider making that girl watch that tape is so totally disgusting & vile...the scales of justice are crying not blind.  Sandi

Sorry, not true. There is a long, long history of activities by religious extremists in India, particularly the muslim minority, involving death and mayhem. The big difference, if you can call it that, is they tend to play nice out in the West. But at home and abroad (Pakistan, for instance) they are horrific.

Hey Dog -- my statement was a verbatim quote from an ABC segment on life in India that aired on Monday.  Go figure.  Mrs. L

WOW, someone has an inquisitive mind today (ok on Wed)

I just wish I could see the meltdown in the court.  She and Courtney Love would be GREAT roommates don't ya think?

I am soooo glad I wasn't taking a cross-country drive with you when you wrote this. I don't think you would have made it past Des Moines.
